Questions, answered

The things dog owners ask us, in the words they ask them. Missing one? Call us at 289-828-4183.

Is it right for my dog?

Anxious, senior, young, or curly. Most dogs do better in the van.

Read the anxious-dog guide
My dog is anxious at the groomer. Can you help?

Anxious dogs are the reason many of our customers found us.

In our van there is no barking room, no cage, and no stranger's car. One groomer works with your dog, at your dog's pace, right outside your home.

We match the groomer to your dog. Many dogs who struggled in salons settle in after a visit or two, and plenty end up waiting for the van at the window.

Do you groom senior dogs or dogs with health conditions?

Yes. We groom many senior dogs, and we take our time with them.

The visit has one groomer and no rush. Most grooms take 45 to 80 minutes, and a senior can have more breaks. We adjust for stiff joints, tired legs, and dogs who need a break.

Tell us about your dog's condition when you book so we can plan the gentlest visit. If a groom is ever not safe for your dog, we stop and talk to you first.

Can my puppy be groomed before all their vaccines?

A mobile groom is the lowest-contact option for a young puppy. Our van is cleaned and disinfected between every dog, and your puppy never shares a space with other dogs.

For timing and vaccine questions, talk to your vet first, then give us a call. We are happy to plan a calm first groom around your vet's advice.

My doodle keeps matting. How often should they be groomed?

Doodles and other curly or fleece coats mat fast, even when they do not shed.

We suggest a schedule based on your dog's breed and coat at the first visit, and we show you what brushing at home actually helps. If knots have already taken over, tell us when you book and we will plan the kindest way through them.

Is there a size or weight limit?

Our menu goes up to 2XL, so big dogs are welcome. If your dog is very large, or has trouble with steps, call us before you book and we will plan the visit together.

Is mobile dog grooming safe for my dog?

Yes. One groomer works with one dog, in a van that is cleaned between every dog. If a groom is ever not safe for your dog, we stop and talk to you first.

We notice skin and coat issues and tell you. We do not diagnose. Your vet does that.

Do you groom cats?

No, we groom dogs only. The van, the tools and our groomers are all set up for dogs, so that is where we can promise a great job.

Do you groom matted dogs?

Yes, and we put your dog's welfare first. Sometimes the kind option is a shorter cut and we will tell you before we start.

Knots fee from $20 per 20 minutes, up to 3 blocks. Tell us when you book so we can plan the time.

Is mobile dog grooming worth it?

If your dog finds the salon stressful, or a drop-off and pick-up never fits your day, yes. Most people say it pays for itself in calm.

One groomer works with one dog, start to finish, in a quiet van at your door. No car ride, no cage, no room full of barking dogs.

It costs more than a busy salon. What you get for the difference is a calmer dog and unrushed care, for as long as your dog needs.

How much does mobile dog grooming cost?

Our Full Bath starts at $99 and Full Grooming starts at $110. The price depends on your dog's size and coat. Every price on our services page is a starting price, plus HST.

We confirm the final price at your door, once we meet your dog. No surprises.

How does booking work?

Book online in about two minutes: pick a service, a groomer, and a time. Or call us if you would rather talk to a person.

Confirmations and reminders arrive on their own, so you always know when the van is coming.

How long does a groom take?

Most grooms take 45 to 80 minutes, one dog at a time. It depends on the dog and the coat.

Big coats, big dogs, or extra services can take longer. You are welcome to check in through the window any time.

What if I need to cancel?

Life happens. Tell us as early as you can and we will rebook you at no charge.

A late cancellation is 50% of the appointment total. We confirm the policy with you when you book, so there are never surprises.

How do I pay?

Card or cash, right at the van. We quote your total before the groom, plus HST, and confirm it at the door.

Do I tip the groomer?

Tips are never expected and always appreciated. If you want to leave one, you can add it at the van.

Can you groom two dogs in one visit?

Often, yes, one after the other. Tell us when you book so we can set aside the time. Each dog still gets the van to themselves.

How soon can I get an appointment?

We are open 7 days a week, 9:00 to 6:30. Book online and the calendar shows you the first open time. If you would rather talk to a person, call us and we will find a spot together.

There is no fixed day for each city. The first booking anchors the van, and the rest of that day fills in the same area. So the earlier you book, the more your day shapes the route.

The van and the visit

What happens at your door, and what we need from you. Almost nothing.

Read the get-ready guide
What areas do you cover?

GTA West: Etobicoke, Mississauga, Brampton, Oakville, Burlington, Milton, Halton Hills, and Hamilton.

Type your postal code into the area check and you will know in a second. Depending on the area, a travel fee may apply. We tell you before we book.

Do you need my water or power?

No. The van brings its own water and power. We need nothing from your home. All we need is a spot to park near your door.

Do you groom in winter?

Yes. The van has real heating and warm water, all year. Canadian winters included. Your dog is warm from the first minute to the last.

Do I need to be home?

For the first visit, yes please: we like to meet you and your dog, agree on the cut, and confirm the price together. After that, tell us what works for you when you book.

How should I get ready for the visit?

Not much to do. Take your dog for a quick walk so they have gone potty. Leave a spot near your door for the van.

Keep your phone on. And tell us about anything sensitive, like sore spots or things your dog dislikes, when you book.

I live in a condo. Can you still come?

Usually, yes. We need a place to park the van close to your door.

Tell us about your building when you book. Where paid parking is the only option, a parking fee can apply.

What products do you use?

We pick the shampoo to suit your dog's coat. Every bath comes with an enhanced shampoo. Premium options are $15 each: oatmeal, flea and tick, or deshedding plus conditioner.

Want to know about a specific product, or does your dog have a sensitivity? Contact us and we will be happy to give you the details.

Can I stay with my dog?

Yes. On the first visit we like you home, so we can meet and agree on the cut. After that, staying nearby is enough.

You can peek through the window any time. Most dogs settle fastest when the routine is calm and quiet.

What if it rains or snows?

Rain or snow, we come. The van is the salon, heated and with warm water all year. If the roads are not safe to drive, we call you and rebook.

How do I get my dog's after photos?

Before and after photos come in the short report we send after every visit. If they do not arrive, call us and we will send them again.
