Own a Dogtor Wash
Canadian, premium, one-on-one, and proven, with a turnkey system. Mobile dog grooming that comes to the customer's door, one dog at a time.
We will not promise you numbers on a website. We will show you exactly how the model works, and you can judge it with your own eyes.

01The model
You own the business. We supply the system around it.
A Dogtor Wash franchise is a premium mobile grooming operation: a fully equipped van, a protected territory, and the customer relationships you build inside it. Every appointment is one groomer and one dog, cage-free, at the customer's door.
Grooming is not a one-time sale. Dogs need it again every few weeks, and families who find a groomer they trust hold on to them. That is the quiet strength of this business.
The van
A fully equipped, climate-controlled grooming van in the brand wrap. The storefront, the billboard, and the salon in one.
The kit
Every tool a grooming day needs, specified and stocked the same way our own vans are.
The Academy
Training and certification for everyone who grooms under the brand, whether that is you or the people you hire.
The systems
Booking, routing, customer records, and marketing run on the same systems our own vans use every day.
Marketing
Brand marketing run by head office, plus local programs planned with you for your territory.
A territory
Postal-code based and protected: no second Dogtor Wash operator inside it. Some developed territories come with an existing client base.
02The proof
An operation you can watch work
We are not selling a concept. We are franchising an operation that is on the road right now, seven days a week.
- Thousands of families across the GTA trust us with their dogs
- Booked out every day
- Most customers come back, again and again
- From one van in 2024 to four on the road today
- Cage-free and one-on-one, every appointment
Where it comes from
The idea was born in 2023. The founders could not get their own dog groomed without a two-to-three-month wait, and drop-off grooming never fit their day. They had seen mobile grooming work well abroad. One of the founders, a doctor by training, became a certified groomer, and the first van hit the road in the GTA in 2024. The business grew on service quality and repeat customers.
The name is a promise: "Dogtor" is a play on doctor, a nod to the founding family's medical roots and to the standard of care every van carries.
03The Academy
Trained and certified, before the first groom
Every person who grooms under the brand goes through the Dogtor Wash Academy and earns certification. That is how the standard stays the standard, van after van.
3 weeks
Experienced groomers
You know the craft. The Academy adds the Dogtor Wash way: the groom sequence, the van, the systems, and the customer experience.
6 to 8 weeks
New to grooming
Starting fresh, or training the team you hire. The full track takes someone from first brush to certified, ready to work under the brand.
04Who we look for
Three kinds of owners do well here
The groomer who wants their own business
You have the craft, and you are done building someone else's book. The systems and training handle the business side; you focus on the dogs. Clean, transparent money mechanics, because you have seen the opposite.
Most of our conversations start here
The first-time owner-operator
You have capital and want a proven playbook. You do not need to be a groomer: the Academy trains and certifies your team, and the operating system keeps the day running.
The investor
You think in units and territories. Centralized systems, per-van operations, and a developed-territory option make multi-van paths practical to discuss.
05Territories
Protected ground, across Ontario
The proven core
These are the areas our own vans work today, seven days a week. They are the demonstration model, and the standard every new territory launches with.
Developed territories
Some territories are seeded before they are sold: our vans build the customer base first, and the territory comes with real, active clients. Ask which areas are currently seeded when you talk to us.
Everything else in Ontario is a conversation. If you have a place in mind, name it in the form and we will tell you honestly where it stands.
06Investment
Money, handled honestly
Ontario franchise law is strict about what a franchise may promise in public, and we would follow the same rule anyway: no revenue claims, no income projections, not here, not anywhere.
What you get instead is the complete picture, in the formal process. Qualified candidates receive the full disclosure package: the cost structure, the fees, and the agreements, with the review time the law gives you. Financing options are available for qualified buyers.
So no promises here. Just the van, the calendar, and the paperwork, shown to you properly.

09Questions
Asked often, answered straight
What does it cost to open a Dogtor Wash?
Total investment depends on territory and setup, so a single number on a website would not be honest. We walk you through the full breakdown, including financing options, in the disclosure process. You will see every cost before you commit to anything.
Do I need grooming experience?
No. Many strong owners never groom a dog. The Academy trains and certifies everyone who grooms under the brand: about three weeks for experienced groomers, six to eight weeks for someone starting fresh.
How do territories work?
Territories are postal-code based and protected: no second Dogtor Wash operator works inside a sold territory, and it is never reduced for under-performance. Some are developed before they are sold: our own vans build the customer base first, and the territory comes with real, active clients.
How long does it take to launch?
It depends on you, your territory, and training. The disclosure step includes a review period the law sets, and we never rush it. We will give you a straight timeline for your situation in the first conversation.
Is financing available?
Financing options are available for qualified buyers, and we walk you through them as part of the formal process. We do not promise amounts, rates, or approvals on a website.
Can I own more than one territory?
That is a conversation we are glad to have. The model is built so an owner can grow into neighbouring areas, and developed territories make that path concrete.
